“Dedicated to facilitating restoration through psychotherapy”
Dr. Michelle Karume is a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) clinician and professor, with specializations in Medical family therapy (MedFT), Program development and Evaluation. She is an author and a Leader in Systemic Family Therapy in Africa.
Her core values are health and spirituality which both lend themselves to her philosophy that health is not the absence of disease but rather the inclusion of biological, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing. The Biopsychosocialspiritual framework is at the cornerstone of all her clinical and research work.
Health is not the absence of disease — it is the inclusion of biological, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing.

Marriage & Family Therapy
What is Marriage and Family Therapy
Marriage and Family Therapy views people through the lens of their relationships — understanding that healing happens in connection, not in isolation.
Systemic Framework
Systems framework is a hallmark way that MFTs work with clients; which sets them apart from other clinical disciplines. The systemic lens is one where the client is viewed from the perspective of their relationships.
